A Call to Prayer

Let me share with you how I know that we’re doing something right.

Roadblocks are getting thrown up left and right at the facilities we work in.

You see, Evil is trying to stop Good. But it won’t succeed.

I was tempted to list and explain every roadblock, a sort of “airing of grievances.” I wanted to complain and show you just how unfair we’ve been treated lately.

But I won’t. I’ll just tell you straight up - working inside prisons has not been easy lately.

Not that the work has ever been easy. For 22+ years now, we’ve remained steadfast in our mission to help those inside and outside prison. We’ve seen Governors, Commissioners, and political climates come and go. With God’s help, we’ve weathered each storm.

But it seems like we’ve never encountered challenges on this scale before.

That tells me one thing.

We’re doing something right.

Whatever evil this broken, sinful world tries to throw at us, we will ultimately prevail. Let me tell you why. It’s simple.

Because we have God on our side. And as we’re reminded in the Bible, if God is for us, who can be against us?

Not a government official. Not a warden. Not some arbitrary, ever-changing prison regulation.

We’ll weather this storm.

But here’s what we need.

We need prayer.

We need you to pray.

We need you to pray for God to move mountains. We need you to pray for hearts to be softened. We need you to pray for eyes to be opened. We need you to pray for real, lasting change.

Our guiding scripture is Hebrews 13:3. “Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoner.” Moving into 2026, we’d like to ask you to set a recurring reminder at 1:33 PM each day to pray for those in prison. It won’t take but a moment of your time and we can promise it’ll make all the difference.

Pray for the safety of those in prison – volunteers, staff, and inmates alike. Pray that the Word of God be received with open hearts. Pray that roadblocks be knocked down, that mountains be moved.

Thank you for your support, and we look forward to communing with each of you in spirit at 1:33 every day.

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9
